GUNNAR A.K JÄRVSTAD

 
 

Gunnar A.K Järvstad’s made his feature debut with ”Trädgårdsgatan”(2017) and the film was nominated for a Guldbagge for best screenplay.

He then continued to write for TV on Dragomir Mrsic's nordic noir ”Alex”, and on the first season of ”Top Dog” based on Jens Lapidus' novel. Gunnar's second feature film was a sequel to the Danish fantasy hit ”Skammerens Datter”, and won the SVEND award for best children's film 2019 in Denmark. The manuscript was also nominated for the Danish equivalent for Guldbaggen (Robert Prisen) for best adaptation. He then co-wrote ”Orca” (2020) with Josephine Bornebusch and was again nominated for a Guldbagge.

At the moment he is developing feature films for Strive Stories, Meta Film and Anagram, and two TV series for Warner Stockholm.
