SØREN BALLE is an award-winning Danish director working on both TV shows and feature films. He works across a multitude of genres and projects, from high-concept TV-shows to independent con-amore feature films. His work has consistently been sought after for its high quality, authenticity and high level of performance.
Søren graduated from the Directors' Programme of the Danish National Film School with his debut feature film "The Sunfish" nominated for 15 national awards, winning him a best screenplay award, as well as a "Draken" nomination for best Nordic director. He has since worked as a lead-director, showrunner and screenwriter on numerous projects ranging from Netflix "Equinox" to DRs "Follow the Money" and Adam Prices "Ride Upon the Storm". All named projects, making both a national and international impact. Søren is currently in production on two television programs, one in collaboration with screenwriter/director Lone Scherfig, and the other as leading screenwriter and director for DR, Denmark's leading broadcaster.
For Søren, it is crucial that projects be motivated by ambition, depth and a strong narrative.
