PÅL STRÖBAEK is a screenwriter, director, and producer. He most recently directed and wrote the hit monologue show Bögen är lös (I magen), starring Edvin Törnblom. The show tells Edvin's story and highlights what it’s like to grow up as a gay man in the 21st century. The show sold 50,000 tickets, toured 24 cities, and is now set for a theatrical release in cinemas across Sweden.
Pål also created the scripted Spotify original podcast Stammis—a sitcom about a group of young adults meeting at a bar, gossiping, and joking. The podcast, starring Vera Herngren, Christoffer Nyqvist, Jacques Karlberg, Tina Pour-Davoy, and Edvin Törnblom, was an instant hit, topping the charts during its two-season run.
He has also written the hit live show Ursäkta Live, based on Sweden's biggest podcast Ursäkta. The live show sold out arenas across Sweden and was made into a TV special airing on TV4. It also won the prestigious “Svenska Humorpriset” award for Best Show of the Year.
Pål has worked on several TV programs, including directing the fourth season of Masked Singer Sverige.
Currently, Pål is writing a feature film with Daniel Hallberg and Edvin Törnblom, as well as directing and writing a sketch-based comedy show with Jakob Bjerkesjö.
