LISA ASCHAN is an award-winning director and screenwriter from the prestigious Danish Film school in Copenhagen. Lisa has worked in both film and TV, and is known for her originality in visual expression and groundbreakingly unique portrayals of women.
Her feature debut “Apflickorna” / “She Monkeys”, got rave reviews all over the world, winning the Best Feature Award at Tribeca Film Festival, Honorary Mention at Berlin Film Festival and winning Dragon Award at Gothenburg Film Festival. The film was awarded with three Guldbaggar for Best Film, Best Script and Best Sound design.
In 2019 “Ring mamma!” / “Call Mum!” premiered; a drama comedy about a mother-daughter relationship and was acclaimed by both press and audience who compared it to “Fleabag” and “Better Things”. “Ring mamma” was nominated for both Best script and Best Actress at Guldbaggen.
“Tack och förlåt”, Lisa’s lates feature, premiered on Netflix December 2023 and was viewed over 6 million times world wide during it’s first month on the streaming service.
Lisa is currently writing her fifth feature as well as developing a drama series.
